The Shanghai GOOD Gift Fair is being held this year on Saturday, December 8. This is the third year of this fun neighborhod event, in which the public can meet representatives from various non-profit organizations and in exchange for contributions receive little art works created on the spot by a select group of artists.
For participating artists this is an interactive, friendly setting for creating small drawings and paintings. Ink artists are especially suited to this event, but any painters, drawers, collage or paper-cut artists that are interested in sharing their creative energies are very welcome.
Besides creating works on-site to give to visitors who contribute to charitable programs, artists are also welcome to bring a few artworks to display to the public. A table for each participating artist is provided, and there is live music, food and drink throughout the day. There is also extensive media coverage of the event in which individual artists are featured.
The location is the Hunan District Cultural Activities Center courtyard, 164 Wulumuqi M Road @ Anfu Rd.
