The Shanghai Ecodesign Fair is welcoming proposals for arts installations and performances to be presented during the fair, which will take place this June 6-7 at Shanghai Jing’An Kerry Center, 1515 Nanjing W. Road, Shanghai. The EcoDesign Fair is a free public event that brings together exceptional product designers, service providers, NGOs and arts practitioners that are pioneering social transformations towards ecological well-being.

The theme of the fair this year is “Transport”, which can be very openly construed. Jing’An Kerry Center is centered around a large outdoor plaza with several possible sites for arts initiatives.

The fair will cover expenses of selected proposals. Last year’s event attracted an estimated 8,000 visitors, and for artists whose work is consonant with aesthetics of ecology this is an outstanding platform for reaching an engaged and involved public.

For more information please visit the EcoDesign Fair website: www.ecodesignfair.cn or give us a call. Proposals should be sent to ARTSpring via email (info@art-spring.org), and should include a brief summary of 200 words or less, name of artist(s) and contact information, plus any related media. The deadline for submittals is May 8, 2015.

The Eco Design Fair is organized by a unique voluntary association of design firms and civil society organizations. For more information about lead organizers please check here.
