“Green”, “eco-conscious”, “LOHAS”, “slow”, “organic”, “fair”… all terms that express contemporary values which preoccupy world governments and citizens alike. How might these values be better understood through art?
Taking art creation as a means of unlocking fresh perspectives, ARTSpring in collaboration with Art+ is hosting a studio workshop to explore this question. We will consider bamboo — and all its cultural, historical, economic, aesthetic and ecological associations– as the subject for new works in acrylic on canvas.
The workshop will take place over three sessions starting October 16, balancing dialogue and collaboration with individual work. The workshop will conclude with an exhibition at MelangeOasis on November 19. Interested individuals please inquire via email to: artpluscoop@gmail.com.
